A couple of readers have commented to me about a lack of juicing recipes with tomatoes, so I decided to share this tangy little bad boy with you.
I love the taste of tomatoes and this little red fruit (yes it is a fruit, despite most people considering it a vegetable) is packed full of healthy goodness including vitamin A, vitamin C, and vitamin K. Scientists also consider one of the great health properties of tomatoes to be their lycopene. Lycopene is an antioxidant that helps fight free radicals and is believed to reduce the risk of several cancers. Lycopene also raises sperm count!
- 1 large tomato
- 2 apples
- 2 carrots
- 1/4 cucumber
- 1 thumb sized chunk of ginger (or a bit more if you are feeling brave!)
How to Make It
Simply juice all the ingredients and serve over ice.
