I am currently in São Paulo, Brazil on a business trip and so I thought I would share my juicing recipe for a healthy, alcohol free, version of Brazil’s national cocktail, caipirinha.

The normal recipe for caipirinha uses cachaça (a liquor made from fermented sugar cane juice), sugar and lime.

This health version foregoes the alcohol and sugar, instead using grape juice to provide a little sweetness against the acidity of the limes.

  • 2 limes (wax free and skin on)
  • 1 large handful of white grapes
  • 150 ml (5 oz) of sparkling water

How to Make It

Simply juice the limes and grapes, pour over ice and top up with the sparkling water.
