I started juicing vegetables nearly 4 years ago and during that time I’ve tried many different green juice recipes, as well as juicing a rainbow of colours. I’ve tried many different ingredients in my juices, but this week during a visit to Jay’s Juices in Amsterdam was the first time I’ve ever tried a juice will chilli pepper. Wow! The taste had a great little kick, but more than that my energy levels rocketed for the rest of the day.
This got me straight in to the kitchen this morning on a mission to come up with my own juice recipe with chilli pepper, introducing the (fire breathing) Green Dragon!
- 2 apples
- 2 sticks of celery
- 1/3 cucumber
- 1 head of broccoli
- 1 red chilli pepper
- 1 large chunk of ginger
- 1 lime (skin on)
- 1/2 avocado (skin and stone removed)
How to Make It
Juice the apples, celery, cucumber, broccoli, chilli pepper, lime and ginger and then blend your juice with the avocado.
Note: If you are not keen on spicy foods, remove the seeds and ribs from inside the chilli pepper before juicing.
