A fairly tame week in the household this week. No real temptations or challenges faced and won or lost. The only real highlight is a visit from our eldest daughter who is back from University this weekend. Outside of the household it has been an exciting week for UK juicers however. Joe Cross of Fat Sick and Nearly Dead fame has been touring the UK promoting his new book “Reboot with Joe Juice Diet“. I didn’t manage to get to any of the book signing sessions but I am about to place an order for a copy of his book as soon as I have finished typing up this blog!
It is also the start of the Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia. I plan to be watching the various events as much as I can over the next couple of weeks. I love skiing, my two favourite places to be are either in the ocean or on top of a mountain. Its something that I would have loved to have started earlier in my life and its something I would have loved to have done more of over the years. Unfortunately, its not something we have been able to do for several years, but it does feature as one of my long term goals.
The goal is not only to go back to Canada on a skiing holiday but it is to be healthy and fit enough to take my skiing to the next level. That sounds great but with that statement comes a problem. Getting fit has never filled me with an excited anticipation. Don’t get me wrong, I would love to be fit but its the pain and effort you have to go through to get there that has always been a bit off putting! However, I know that if I want to attain that goal I have to start working towards it, which is why I am about to start introducing formal exercise into my weekly routine. So far I have lost well over 55 lbs through juicing and healthy eating alone. A healthier approach to what I put into my body has given me a completely new outlook and a pile of ill fitting clothes!
Those are the exact same pair of trousers in both pictures. I plan to do the same shot again soon because the after pic was taken a couple of months ago.
So, lets see if I can develop the discipline to get exercise into my weekly routine. I managed to make healthy eating a habit so what could possibly go wrong? I will let you know how I got on next week!
On a parting note, my juicy news for this week, despite being really good all week, is a loss of 1lb. With weeks like this I have to remind myself that it’s a marathon not a sprint!
