While western science appears to be only just starting to catch on the fact that the food we put in our bodies can have a huge impact on our wellbeing, traditional Chinese and Ayurvedic medicine has long since considered the way we feed ourselves essential to achieving and maintaining health.
Two foods that are key components of Chinese and Ayurvedic medicine are ginger and chilli. Could juicing them be the ultimate medicinal slammer?
Warning: this recipe has a serious kick – if you are not used to consuming hot chilli you may want to reduce the quantity.
- 1 thumb sized chunk of ginger
- 1 whole red chilli
- 1/2 lime (skin on)
How to Make It
- Wash / clean all the produce
- Juice the chilli
- Juice the ginger
- Juice the lime
- Pour into a shot glass and it’s down in one baby!
