A new twist of my famous Ginger Slammer, the Winter Slammer adds lemon and cayenne. Research hints that cayenne peppers may help to speed up your metabolism and the lemon is known to help boost the immune system.
- 1 thumb sized chunk of ginger
- 1/2 apple
- 1/2 lemon (wax-free, skin on)
- Optional: Pinch of ground cayenne pepper (if you are not used to spicy foods start with a small pinch!)
How to Make It
Simply chop the ginger, apple and lemon and then juice. Stir in the cayenne before pouring into a shot glass; Down in one !
I make mine in the Optimum 600 Cold Press Juicer.
